Abstract
Uncertainty analyses of velocity measurement with a Pitot tube and a LDV measurement system were conducted. A low-turbulence wind tunnel was used to minimize the error due to turbulence. The present investigation revealed that the uncertainty of the LDV system strongly depends on digital bit transfer in the signal processing unit. The uncertainty of a Pitot tube is affected by the accuracy of pressure measurement in a low-velocity region. The uncertainty of the Pitot tube coefficient was estimated using the present measurement system, and the value is less than 0.9%.
