Abstract

We report ultrafast dynamics of photoinduced transitions in one-dimensional (1D) correlated-electron systems; a photoinduced insulator to metal transition in a halogen-bridged Ni compound and a photoinduced neutral to ionic transition in an organic charge-transfer (CT) compound.
