Abstract
Experimental studies on bottled neutrons have been carried out using a supermirror turbine facility and are compared with the results of numerical simulations. The gravity effects for 1 m elevation and fall with guides are observed. Measured exhausting and storage lifetimes agree with the numerical results, which indicate the collision loss probability of about 10-4 to be expected in the bottle studied.
