Two dimensional behavior of critical current density in CVD-YBa2Cu3O7 films

Abstract

In order to investigate the two-dimensional(2D) behavior of Jc, the angular, temperature and magnetic field dependence of transport Jc for CVD-YBa2Cu3O7 films, which were regarded as a 3D superconductor at high temperature, was measured. The 2D behavior of Jc appeared at low temperature, while the three-dimensional(3D) behavior of Jc was observed at 77.3K. The dimensional crossover of Jc appeared with a kink in the temperature dependence of Jc. We propose a dimensional crossover model from 3D to 2D pinning, considering the intrinsic and extrinsic pinning as the 2D and 3D pinning, respectively.
