Triple-wavelength-band WDM transmission technologies

Abstract

Design guidelines of multi-wavelength-band wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) transmission systems that avoid the degradation caused by inter- and intra-wavelength-band nonlinear interactions were described. A 1000-channel WDM carrier generator was demonstrated for realizing advanced triple-wavelength-band WDM transmission systems. Results showed that signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) exceeded 25.0 dB in all examined channels.
