Transverse mode conversion by second harmonic generation using axially symmetric, polarized laser beams

Abstract

Second harmonic generation from a (110) zinc selenide crystal is demonstrated using focused axially symmetric, polarized beams. Transverse mode conversion to higher order Hermite-Gaussian mode are observed showing unique intensity and polarization distribution.
