Transient hole-burning spectroscopy of Zn-protoporphyrin-substituted myoglobin

Abstract

A transient spectral hole-burning (THB) experiment has been made on Zn·protoporphyrin-substituted myoglobin over the 140-280 K temperature range. The result has been found to support the liquid-glass transition of this protein around 180 K. The time evolution of the THB spectrum has also been investigated with a 1 μs temporal resolution.
