Abstract
The dissipation behavior in the mixed state of HTSC has been investigated by measuring thermomagnetic effects, that is the Ettingshausen and the Nernst effects. These measurements were performed on the same QMG-YBa2Cu3O7 sample. The temperature and magnetic field dependence of both effects are presented. The transport entropy of a flux line, SΦ, is estimated from both experiments. It is found that the magnitude of SΦ disagree between the Ettingshausen and the Nernst effects.
