Thermoelectric properties of iodine doped pentacene thin films

Abstract

We attempted the iodine doping on the pentacene thin film grown on the glass substrate, and measured thermo-electric properties. The doped iodine formed polyiodine species in the film. Although the thermoelectric performance was relatively high among organic semiconductor thin films, it decreased through time due to the desorption of the polyiodine species from the film.
