Thermal stability and reliability of spin-valve films with synthetic antiferromagnet exchange-biased by IrMn

Abstract

In this study, the relation of the grain size to the thin IrMn film with high HUA and high TB is clarified. It is demonstrated that the spin-valve films with a synthetic antiferromagnetic (SyAF) exchange-biased by the IrMn layer with high TB and high HUA have high thermal stability for a reversed magnetic field and a perpendicular magnetic field to pinned layer direction.
