Theory of metamagnetism and weak antiferromagnetism of heavy fermions based on the duality model

Abstract

On the basis of the duality model, a semi-phenomenological and quantum-mechanical one which takes into account the dual nature of itinerant and localized characters of f-electrons, the systematics of metamagnetic behavior in the paramagnetic phase and the appearance of weak antiferromagnetism with extremely small ordered moment of =10μB are shown to be explained qualitatively.
