Abstract

In this study, the charge-transfer interaction was theoretically analyzed on the basis of the quantum mechanical electron transfer (ET) reaction theory. It was found that this interaction dominates the singlet-triplet energy splitting in condensed phased photoinduced electron transfer systems.
