Abstract

The excitation spectrum for the S₁ → S₀ fluorescence of 9,10-dibromoanthracene caused by exciting the T₁ state was measured in ethanol with a stepwise two-photon excitation technique. It was compared with the T_n← T₁] absorption spectrum and the S_m← T₁] absorption spectrum was observed for the first time.
