The optimal timing of computed tomography coronary angiography using 320-slice CT

Abstract

We can examine CT coronary angiography with prospective ECG gating that is targeted the middle of expansion, and with intermittent scanning of serial three pulses, using 320-slice CT. We evaluated the optimal timing at enhancement of coronary artery and Ascending Aorta. We measured the CT value of coronary arteries and thoracic great vessels in each three pulses. If we noticed equality and highly enhancement of the coronary arteries, we considered the optimal timing is 2nd pulse after the peak of ascending aortic enhancement.
