Abstract
Using a pin-on-disc apparatus, the influence of grain size on the sliding wear behaviour of zinc was investigated. The friction coefficient and the wear rate of zinc sliding against stainless steel counterface were noticed to increase with increasing grain size in the range of zinc grain size 90-150 μm.
