    Abstract

Parameters of tree population and community dynamics must be evaluated by evidence from long-term observation to clarify whether or not they are in equilibrium. The role of episodic events can also be elucidated through such studies. Monitoring in a reserved area is also recommended to obtain the background data and to perceive any changes in environment. -from English summary
