Abstract
Unambiguous ln = 5 assignments have been made for the 1.96–2.24 MeV doublet in 90Y from the ln -dependence of the excitation function for the 89Y(d, p)90Y reaction over the range Ed =3.3-4.6 MeV at θ=150°. It is concluded that these two excited states are the 5+ and 6+ states of the (2p1/2-1, 1h11/2) configuration. The present ln assignments are found to be little affected by the ambiguity of optical model parameters.
