Abstract
The synthesis of the carbazole main chain homopolymers with high molecular weights by applying the reverse addition order of a nickel catalyst based on the Yamamoto coupling method was discussed. The obtained polycarbazoles possess good soubility, film-forming ability, thermal stability and moderately high photoluminescence efficiency. Differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were carried out to determine the thermal transition and degradation behavior of the polymers.
