The field dependence of Jc for the Y123 filament spun from various spinning dope

The Y123 filament was prepared by solution spinning from a PVA aqueous solution with Y, Ba and Cu acetates. As-drawn filament was heated to remove volatile components and partially melted. The influence of the acetates content in the precursor filament on the Jc for the partially melted filament was examined in the magnetic fields up to 4 T. The field dependence of the Jc for the filament with high acetates content was small and the Jc value of more than 103 A/cm2 was maintained at 4 T. For the filament with low acetates content, the hysteresis effect was observed and the Jc slightly decreased at 4 T.
