N2 - To understand the physical mechanism of the characteristics of creep crack growth rate, it is important to clarify the characteristics of creep damage around the crack. In this paper, by observing the hardness distribution, the relation between the characteristics of creep crack growth rate and those of creep damage was investigated. From these results, effects of specimen thickness and side groove on the characteristics of creep crack growth rate were clarified and related to the characteristics of creep damage around the crack.
