The effect of alkali metal ions on dielectric relaxation properties of water in poly (2-acrylamide-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid) gels

Abstract

Hyper mobile water with a higher dielectric relaxation frequency than 17GHz, that of usual water, was found around muscle fiber, and ions known as water structure-breaker. We examine the dielectric properties of 2-acrylamide-2-metylpropane sulfonic acid polymer and gel with various counter ions. As a result, we found the presence of Hyper mobile water in those polymers and its gels. Counter ion dependence of volume fraction and the relaxation frequency structure-breakerof hyper mobile water will be discussed.
