Abstract
The corrosion behavior of Alloy 182 in a cyclic hydrogenated and oxygenated water chemistry in high temperature water is studied using various in situ and ex situ oxide characterization methods. The electrochemical potential and film resistance show a large change when the environment is changed from hydrogenated water to oxygenated water and are changeable with changing environment. The morphology and composition of the oxide film also exhibit a cyclic change accompanying with the cyclic changed environment. The phenomenon of hydrogen enhanced oxidation behavior is observed when the environment is changed from hydrogenated water to oxygenated water.
