N2 - The applicability of current in-plane (CPP)-GMR for over 100Gbpsi was discussed. In order to fix the target of CPP-GMR film, a usable map of resistance-area (RA) product and MR ratio by using thermal and micromagnetics simulations was prepared. Hatching area indicated a usable one for over 100 Gbpsi but the conventional CPP-GMR film was far from this area. In order to clear this problem, insulator and holes with controlling hole density should be used or the material should be improved.
