Terahertz emission from two-dimensional plasmons in high-electron-mobility transistors stimulated by optical signals

Abstract

We review on a recent advances of room temperature emission of terahertz radiation from a new developed devices. We interpret the results as a self oscillation of the plasma waves. The devices was stimulated by optical excitations.
