Abstract
This paper describes the characteristics of temperature fluctuations in a slightly heated two-dimensional jet issuing through a slot normally into a laminar or turbulent cold crossflow at blowing rates of 0.2, 1.5, and 3.0. Some statistical properties of temperature fluctuations are clarified in the direction normal to the jet axis for the potential core region and temperature decay region, respectively, corresponding to the three typical jet flow patterns.
