    Abstract

    Taxusecone, 2α,7β,9α,10β-tetraacetoxy-5α,12- dihydroxy- 11,12-secotax-4(20)-ene-11,13-dione (1), a novel taxane with an unprecedented skeleton, was isolated from the needles of Taxus cuspidata.
