Abstract

A carborane derivative containing nitronyl nitroxide group was synthesized and was crystallographically and magnetically characterized. The X-ray structure analysis revealed that the molecules were crystallized in a head-to-tail dimer fashion. The intradimer ferromagnetic interaction (J/kB = +4.26(2) K) was observed.
