Abstract

(Figure Presented) Palladium-catalyzed annulation of 1-alkynylphosphine sulfides with 2-iodoanilines followed by desulfidation affords 3-substituted 2-indolylphosphines. This annulatlon/desulfidation sequential protocol offers a conceptually new approach to bulky heteroarylphosphines.
