Synthesis and X-ray structure of a platinum η2-disilene complex

Abstract

The molecular structure and chemical synthesis of a platinum silyl-substituted η2-disilene complex were investigated. The structure parameters around the disilene moiety were determined by x-ray crystallography. The x-ray diffraction analysis results revealed that the disilene complex can be regarded as a metalladisilacyclopropane with a very weak π-complex character.
