Synthesis and characterization of lithium-manganese spinel by hydrothermal method in mixed lithium-alkaline aqueous solution

Abstract

A lithium-manganese spinel was synthesized by hydrothermal method in mixed lithium-alkaline aqueous solution. It was confirmed that the mixed lithium-alkaline aqueous solution dissolved with Li-salt (LiCl, Li2SO4, LiNO3) and ROH (LiOH, NaOH, KOH) was excellent reaction environment for hydrothermal synthesis. The obtained lithium-manganese spinel showed analogous electrochemical behavior to the calcined spinel.
