A switched-capacitor circuit implementation of the multi-internal-state chaotic neuron model is proposed. The decay time constant for each internal state can be determined separately by the external signals. Furthermore, the proposed circuit has both of the bipolar and unipolar output functions realized by a simple nonlinear function circuit. One of the two output functions can be externally selected. Moreover, the saturation levels and center gain of the functions can be altered by the external voltages. The proposed circuit is fabricated through MOSIS using 1.2 μm CMOS technology. Results from the chip is shown.
