Surface-emitted THz-wave generation from two-dimensional PPLN

Abstract

We report on the demonstration of surface-emitted THz-wave DFG from a two-dimensional (2D) PPLN. The two orthogonal periodic structures individually compensate for both the phase mismatch of the launched lasers and generated THz-wave.
