Supramolecular approach toward alignment of π-conjugated polymers

Abstract

Exploring an approach to control the nanostructures of π-conjugated polymers has been an important research target in materials science, which has led to the creation of various functional materials with optimized π-electronic properties. Several methods for controlling dimensionality, nanostructure, and morphology have been achieved through chemical and physical techniques. In addition to such methods for organizing conjugated polymers, we introduce a supramolecular approach toward the alignment of conjugated polymers.
