Abstract
Self assembly behavior of the supermagnetic cobalt (Co) nanocrystals (NC) was investigated by applying magnetic fields. It was observed that interplay between dipolar interaction and applied magnetic fields produced the three-dimensional superstructure of the spherical Co NC. It was also observed that length to width ratio of grain-like superstructure enhanced greatly by increasing the particle size to about 10 nm. The results show that self assembly of NC is helpful in the preparation mesomagnets and magnetic quantum devices.
