Abstract

Sense of direction: A characteristic well-ordered domain of a 2:1 sandwich complex consisting of phthalocyanines and tetraphenylporphyrin was observed on an Au(111) surface by STM in situ, indicating that a highly ordered array was formed by alternately arranging the molecules in two different orientations. (Chemical Equation Presented).
