Abstract

A new electro-plating technique has been developed for producing wires of superconducting ternary lead molybdenum sulfide PbMo//6S//8. These wires were prepared by plating a Mo wire with lead, and with subsequent heat treatment with the vapor of molybdenum sulfide MoS//2. Optimal conditions gave a critical temperature of about 14 K, and a resistive transition width was less than 1 K.
