Study of magnetocaloric effect in GdRhIn compound

    GdRhln crystallizes in Fe2P type crystal structure with space group P62m. Magnetization measurements on bulk GdRhln sample show that the compound orders ferromagnetically with Curie temperature (Tc) of 34 K. The magnetocaloric effect (MCE) in this compound estimated from the M-H-T data was found to be 8 J/Kg K for a field change of 50 kOe. The compound shows good refrigerant capacity (RC) with a value of 282 J/Kg for the field of 50 kOe.
