Abstract

We measured 7ΛLi and 9ΛBe hypernuclear spectra by the (π+, Κ+) reaction with the energy resolution of about 2 MeV. We observed characteristic structures in the spectra, which indicate many spin-isospin states and rotational bands including new symmetric states predicted by theoretical calculations. The kaon angular distribution for several low-lying states in 7ΛLi and 9ΛBe were measured for the first time.
