Structure and properties of biodegradable polymer-based blends

    We have recently investigated the structure and properties of biodegradable polymer based blends. The biodegradable polymers studied in our work include poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB), poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV), poly(butylene succinate) (PBSU), poly(ethylene succinate) (PES) and poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL). The miscibility, morphology, crystallization and melting behaviour of biodegradable polymer based blends have been studied extensively, which were reviewed briefly in this manuscript.
