Abstract

A comparative study of crystal structures between radical cation salts of tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) and its selenium analogues ST-TTP and BDS-TTP is reported. All the salts are found to exhibit metallic temperature dependence down to liquid helium temperature due to strong transverse interactions that suppress a metal to insulator transition.
