Abstract

Several new compounds Ni(chxn)2XY2 (chxn=1R,2R-diaminocyclohexane; X=Cl,Br; Y=X,NO3,ClO4,BF4) were synthesized and their lattice constants were determined by X-ray powder patterns. In these nickel complexes, the inter-chain distance in the direction of counterions depends on ionic radius of the counterion, while the distances between metals along the chain are nearly constant. Such results are in contrast to those of the platinum and the palladium complexes.
