Abstract
The magnetic, neutron diffraction (ND) and NMR experiments have been performed on (Mn1-xCux)66Ga34 (x = 0.25-0.35). The δ-T curve shows a cusp at Tt after the disappearance of spontaneous magnetization. The x-1-T curve shows a bend at TN. The ND experiments exhibit the presence of an antiferromagnetic component lying in the basal plane for Tt ≤ T < TN. For T < Tt, a helical spin structure propagating in the c direction appears, changing the pitch of helix from 4.12C to 8.26C.
