Abstract

State-space representation is well known as a powerful tool for description of linear systems. This scheme can describe internal states of systems as well as the input-output relationship, leading to versatile applications in the fields of signal processing and control systems. This paper reviews how to use the state-space representation, from the respective viewpoints of signal processing systems and control systems.
