Abstract

Some problems of tests in a high temperature mixture of hydrogen (80%H//2 plus 15%CO plus 5%CO//2) simulating the reducing gas for direct steel making. Gas reactions are catalyzed by retort walls. Appropriate materials to mitigate problems caused by water condensation and carbon deposition have been examined.
