Solvothermal synthesis of titanium phosphides via sodium co-reduction of PCl3 and TiCl4

    Abstract

    The solvothermal synthesis of titanium phosphides using sodium co-reduction of PCl3 and TiCl4 was discussed. It was found that the products were mainly hexagonal phase of TiP with a small fraction of TiP0.63. The analysis showed that the products consisted of nanorods and nanotubes at 300°C.
