Solvent effect on first hyperpolarizabilities of stilbazolium cations

We investigated the solvent effect on the first hyperpolarizabilities (β) of stilbazolium cations by PM3-TDHF-COSMO calculation, with the electrically neutral nitrostilbenes as comparising. The β values of stilbazolium cations show decrease with increasing polarities of solvents, which is a different changing tendency with neutral nitrostilbene derivatives.
