The supersaturated solid solubility of carbon in pure mechanically alloyed copper was investigated via measurements of lattice parameters. The mechanically alloyed powders were subjected to x-ray diffraction by monochromatic Cu Kα radiation at an accelerating voltage of 40 kV. Results showed that the lattice parameter increased with milling time and reaches saturation values.
