Abstract

The maximum supersaturated solid solubility of carbon in the mechanically alloyed Cu-Zn alloy was measured from the lattice parameters obtained from X-ray diffraction. Atomized Cu-29.7 at. pct Zn alloy powder and graphite powder were prepared as elemental powders. The lattice parameters were calculated from the (111) peak angle 2θ.
