Abstract

Polymerization of the aniline with camphorsulfonic acid in the presence of PdCl2, (PhCN)2PtCl2 (Ph = phenyl), or ZnO nano-particles was carried out to prepare metal-containing polyaniline. The surface structures were observed with SEM. Carbonization of the metal-containing PANI provided nano-structured carbons. Electron probe microanalyzer spectroscopy measurements evaluated the presence of metal atoms in the carbons.
