Abstract
The self assembly of mesoporous multi-metal phosphates was analyzed by using a cationic surfactant as the template. Two distinct diffraction peaks were observed from the powder X-ray diffraction patterns before and after calcination. It was also observed that the greatest loss of weight occurred at 230°C, while no weight loss was detected for the calcined sample between the temperatures of 150 and 500°C. It was found that the disappearance of the C-H valency bond vibrations at about 2844 cm-1 and 2920 cm -1 in the calcined material confirmed the complete removal of the surfactant at 623K.
